Property Management Committee
Mission Statement: To promote and maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and inviting environment in which to gather and worship.
Meeting Time: First Sunday of each month at 11:30am.
Responsibilities: Maintain the Church building and grounds; Organize repairs and upkeep of all Church property. Promote any improvements to the building and grounds which would assist in the ongoing well-being of the Church in whole.
Typical and Recurring Tasks:
Monthly: Prepare report/meeting minutes for Church Council. Organize and promote weekly Church cleaning throughout the year.
January:
New council liaison typically joins us at this time.
Annual inspection of fire extinguishers due this month.
Check all emergency lighting/exit signs are working properly.
Annual fire inspection usually happens in January or February of each year. Indoor projects.
February:
Plan for indoor work party usually held one Saturday in March or April.
Indoor projects.
March:
Lenten Soup Supper - Serve on assigned Wednesday night.
Plan for outdoor work party usually held during Saturday in May.
Indoor projects.
April:
Make sure Church is spruced up for Easter services.
Make sure sound system functioning correctly.
Have irrigation back flow valves tested (required by County).
Check all emergency lighting/exit signs are working properly.
Spring projects.
May:
Usually hold spring outdoor work party.
Post sign up sheet for weekly lawn mowing May to October.
Spring projects.
June:
Summer projects.
July:
Check all emergency lighting/exit signs are working properly.
Summer projects.
August:
Plan for fall work party usually late September or early October.
Summer projects.
September:
Summer projects.
October:
Check all emergency lighting/exit signs are working properly.
Have irrigation systems winterized if used during year.
Fall projects.
November:
Submit next year's budget proposal to Church Council.
Prepare annual reports input.

December:
Post weekly Church cleaning sign up sheet for new year.
